Jazz à Vienne Sydney
29th September to 7th October 2012
Jazz à Vienne Sydney, now in its 6th year and is made possible by the partnership of EPIC Jazz à Vienne France, MrStéphane Kochoyan ,the city of Vienne France, and local Music Educator, the late Rory J Thomas OAM, Chevalier de lÓrdre des Arts et des Lettres, and Professeur of the Académie Ponsard, associate and friend of the French Festival. The Jazz à Vienne Sydney Festival is back in 2012 with a week of great jazz in the Sydney CBD & Hawkesbury district.
As well as great local talent such as Zooo Superbande with John Morrison and Suzanna Wellink, Emma Hamilton, and Smoooth Jazz Ensemble, this year's Festival brings you some great International Jazz talent. Tricia Evy (France)

On her fourth visit to Australia, Tricia seems to be becoming part of the family. When Tricia's visits Australia she has played with local musicians such as Dan Barnett, Andrew Dickenson, George Washingmachine to name a few.
This year Tricia performed with these same Aussie musicians and others as she toured the jazz festivals of Europe, even hooking up with Sydney's Zooo Superbande at The Montreux Jazz Festival for two great shows.
Performing at Manly Jazz Festival for the second time 2012, Tricia will be accompanied by Sydney musicians Jake Barden (Sax), Tim Fisher (Piano) and Phil Stack (Bass). As quoted by Frank Presley of FM 99.3 Northside Radio in 2011 "One of the most magnetic performances I witnessed at Manly Jazz Festival"
Tricia promises another series of hypnotizing performances across Sydney throughout October and will be conducting vocal workshops at Music Life School of Performing Arts during her stay in Sydney.
Having recently returned from extensively touring throughout Eastern Europe and Russia opening for acclaimed guitar hero Tommy Emmanuel, singer/songwriter/instrumentalist Jazz à Vienne Sydney 2012 welcomes back Sydney-based French/Austrailan Emma Hamilton
Drawing on her French culture (French mother and Aussie musician Father), Emma's natural flair for French music resulted in the making of her debut concept album "La Musique" which US music legend Van Dyke Parkes claimed as being "a total triumph on so many levels", and which reached number 9 on the Aria Jazz Charts. The album title acknowledges Emma’s bi-cultural background and features an intoxicating blend of jazz-pop standards and hook-laden originals Her vast experimenting in a range of musical genres has lead her to creating quirky and fresh sounds which combine elements of Glam Pop, jazz, electro-synth, orchestral, folk and French music into a complex little bubble that takes you into Emma's musical world. Produced and arranged by her equally talented brother Thomas, the pair work together on stage and in the studio to create these songs, and are intrinsically connected through their vision and passion for eclectic and beautiful sound.
Emma Hamilton is a featured performer in Jazz à Vienne Sydney 2012
